By launching DiskState, you will be presented with a window showing all your drives, removable, network drives, RAM disks etc. In this window, you can watch your current disk status:
- volume letter and name
- usage percentage
- total, used and free disk space
- summary of total and free disk space
It is also possible to show the size of your paging file(s).
If you move the Windows cursor over any of the volumes listed in this window, you will get a rectangular box around it. This means that DiskState can inspect the current volume further. Just click on the left mouse button to start inspecting (see picture below).
Window Shading. If you would like to have a quick view of your disk usage in a small window, try doubleclicking on the DiskState titlebar. You can toggle between the window shade and normal view mode. As you can see, window shading shows three volumes usage bars in the titlebar. You can customize what volumes to appear in the titlebar.
